Founded in 1988, Saginaw Contracting is a general contractor providing project management, commercial construction and residential services, whose work covers a wide range of projects from schools, to offices and government facilities.
Steve Erickson, owner of Saginaw Contracting, purchased the company in 1997 after working for five years as salesman, project manager and estimator for the then asphalt paving company. One of the first things Erickson did as owner was to expand the company’s services beyond asphalt work to include general contracting.
Saginaw Contracting was featured in the Minnesota Small Business Development Center’s 2005 Annual Report (see article at left) and Erickson credits them with much of his success. The company has since grown and is certified for government projects, click here to see our letter of certification.
Steve is also a disabled veteran and Saginaw Contracting is certified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA) as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The USDVA encourages the purchasing of products and services of veteran owned businesses.
