Beginning in 2006 we remodeled the Veteran’s Administration Dental Clinic increasing their chair capacity from four to eight. Since completing that project we've maintained an ongoing relationship with the VA and have worked on numerous additional projects to upgrade their facilities, including their plumbing, sewer, electrical systems and to include a geothermal project.
We are building a research facility. It is called 3rd Research Building project. This project is a complete, new construction, multiple story commercial research facility.
Saginaw Contracting is one of six certified preferred venders for multiple task order projects for the Minnesota Air National Guard. We were awarded a five year contract from 2005 to 2010 to work on various projects. One of which was to work on their emergency generator for aircraft and lighting.
We replaced EPDM roofs of three US Army Corps of Engineer buildings each with a ten year warranty requirement.
We are building two medical buildings. The project is called Construct Medical Buildings.
Charter Communication’s came to Saginaw Contracting to have their local branch office remodeled. This project required re-engineering the framework of their 100 year old building to handle modern commercial windows that would withstand winds of Lake Superior of 100mph or greater.
Saginaw Contracting teamed together with SEH Engineering in 2003 to address the prior building challenges of residential condominiums which had been issued a stop order by the City of Duluth. We assessed the project and its challenges and then developed a management plan outlining the needed repairs. Saginaw Contracting implemented the upgrades and submitted a 960 page report.
We completely remodeled the plant’s break facilities removing old wood, steel, concrete, plaster and glass. This was replaced with new framing lumber, insulation, sheetrock, doors, windows, wood trim, formica cabinets, a dropped ceiling, stairs and a non-skid high impact floor. This project was challenging due to high grease, oil and metal debris transferred from the plant to the office area.
